This is thanks to collective collaboration as directed by the StaTangerang, Banten (ANTARA) - PT Angkasa Pura II informed that there were less passenger activities at Soekarno-Hatta Airport on the day prior the celebration of 2022 Eid al-Fitr compared to the previous day.
"Our observation today, on D-1, the (amount of crowd) has slightly declined compared to its peak during D-3 and D-2," President Director of PT Angkasa Pura II Muhammad Awaluddin said d at the Eid al-Fitr Transport Command Post at Terminal 1B, Soekarno-Hatta Airport, here on Sunday.
He stated that there were some 900 flights on D-1 at Soekarno-Hatta Airport, with the number of passengers reached around 125,000 people.
"The peak was on D-3, at Soekarno-Hatta Airport, in which there were 1,054 flights with approximately 141,000 passengers," he explained.
Awaluddin said that from April 22, 2022 to May 1, 2022, or the day before Eid, the situation at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport was under control.

He expressed his company's commitment to consistently maintaining security and comfort at Soekarno-Hatta Airport.
Awaluddin said that air transportation has three advantages in accommodating high demand, such as during the Eid exodus period.
First, flexibility, in which prospective passengers can choose the date and time of departure and the airline that suits their needs.

Second, air transportation has a capacity which can be adjusted according to demand. If demand is high, the company, as the airport operator, will coordinate with the stakeholders to increase capacity through additional flight mechanisms, flight slot arrangements, extension of airport operating hours, and so on.
And third is the extension of connectivity. Air transportation connects every province in Indonesia.
"On aerial route, we can travel from one city to another in a short span of time. In an archipelago country like Indonesia, air transportation is the most efficient and effective mode," he concluded.
