PT PPI continues to be committed to assisting the government in fulfilling the supply of cooking oil to meet the needs of the community ahead of Eid al-Fitr 1443 Hijr in a number of regions throughout IndonesiaJakarta (ANTARA) - State-owned Indonesia Trading Company (PT PPI), part of ID Food, distributed nearly 12 million liters of cooking oil in traditional markets during Ramadan and ahead of Eid al-Fitr 2022.
"PT PPI continues to be committed to assisting the government in fulfilling the supply of cooking oil to meet the needs of the community ahead of Eid al-Fitr 1443 Hijr in a number of regions throughout Indonesia," PPI President Director Nina Sulistyowati said here on Sunday.
Sulistyowati mentioned, until the end of April 2022, PPI had distributed as much as 12 million liters of cooking oil consisting of bulk cooking oil and packaged cooking oil in traditional markets throughout Indonesia.

In detail, the distribution of cooking oil in the Sumatra region reached 1.85 million liters of bulk cooking oil and 27,800 liters of packaged cooking oil, she said.
On Java Island, PPI distributed as much as 2.7 million liters of bulk cooking oil and 176 thousand liters of packaged cooking oil. In Jakarta, at least 831 thousand liters of bulk cooking oil were distributed.
Furthermore, PPI distributed as much as 97 thousand liters of bulk cooking oil to the Kalimantan region. In the Sulawesi region, the company distributed 850 thousand liters of bulk and 2,400 liters of packaged cooking oil.

"PPI is committed to fulfilling food packages through bazaars and low-cost markets, besides that, we optimize the distribution of bulk cooking oil until Eid day," Sulistyowati said.
Currently, PPI has 52 branches and its activities are supported by its subsidiary PT BGR Logistics Indonesia, especially in distributing supplies from PPI partner factories.
PPI branches are maximized according to their potential in helping the government with the availability of cooking oil in the community.
"After this Eid, PPI will distribute cooking oil in markets throughout Indonesia again," Sulistyowati added.
