Bekasi, West Java (ANTARA) - State-run toll road operator PT Jasa Marga has ensured the readiness of Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road ahead of the exodus traffic flow to increase optimal services for travelers headed to the eastern Java Island.

Jasa Marga will always coordinate with the related parties to optimize the 2022 Eid al-Fitr exodus, General Manager Representative Office 1 Jasamarga Trans Jawa Toll Road Regional Division (JTTRD) Muhammad Taufik Akbar stated in Bekasi, West Java, on Friday.

"In line with the government's directive to create a safe and healthy exodus, we are making careful preparations, as this toll road is the main road or backbone of travelers from Jakarta to West Java or East Java," he remarked.

According to Akbar, the preparations include a traffic design scheme to be applied at the police's discretion to anticipate vehicle density.

The traffic design scheme is aimed at supporting the policies of limiting three-axis vehicles and more, contraflow and one way, placing officers at locations prone to overcrowding and accidents, as well as coordinating with the police.

"The one-way policy is proposed if the traffic density volume or segment load at KM 66 is above 11 thousand to 12 thousand vehicles per hour. However, this policy is (under) the police's discretion," Akbar noted.

GT Cikampek Utama 1 has seven substations and GT Cikampek Utama 2 has seven substations, as well as six additional reversible substations to support the toll road fee transactions process, Akbar noted.
